Basilica Organ Fund

Become part of the history of Saint Patrick's by contributing to the Basilica Organ Fund

Organ pipes
Saint Patrick's Basilica is the first English speaking Roman Catholic Parish in Ottawa. The Church was completed in 1875 and was declared a Basilica in 1995. Portions of Basilica's organ date back to 1887 (click on History of the Basilica Organ). The last time when major renovations to the organ were done date back to 1930, at which time electrical wiring was installed (presently a safety concern). Over the past century, considerable dust has dust has entered into the 3,000 pipes which now requires their removal, cleaning, and in some cases repair. Additionally, the organ has leather parts which dry out over time. These parts necessitate replacement.

We are seeking $300,000 to complete the work.
How can you help us reach our goal?
Sponsor the cost of restoring one or more of the 3,000 pipes of the organ at $100 each.

In return for your generous support, your name (or that of someone you wish to honour) will be enrolled in a DONOR MEMORIAL BOOK to be on view in the Basilica's Monsignor Francis French Library.
Be part of the history of Saint Patrick's!
